Within your spiritual realm on a vision quest there is an underlying power that’s guiding everything. It is guiding the groundwater to move within the earth. It is guiding the roots of all the trees to develop within the soil. It is guiding the small micro-organisms on the forest floor to break down the leaf litter. It is guiding the birds to fly. And it’s also guiding you within your life.
Even when we aren’t aware of it, this guiding power is always there in the background subtly guiding us. However, mainly we have forgotten how you can pay attention to this guiding power that’s continuously directing us.
On a nature wander I discover that before you tap into your sixth sense and also the guiding power that it’s best to once more place power into your intention. This starts to shift what happens in nature and allows the messages to be clearer. What I do is take out my notebook from my back pocket and read along the intentions I usually have set for my nature wander. Then I take a few moments to squat down, place one of my fingers on to the earth, shut my eyes and reflect on these intentions. The greater power you place into your intention, the clearer the messages you will obtain.
So how do we tap into the power and permit it to guide us?
The first stage would be to once more go into innocence, into no-mind by stating ‘Thank you for sharing’ to the little voice inside your head and placing your focus rather on the gap between the mental chatter. This once more will get you out of your thoughts and allows the space to enter your senses.
Then shut your eyes and scan within your body during your vision quest for any stress. Once more, just like dropping a rock towards the ground, permit the tension inside your body to drop towards the ground. Likewise together with your thoughts. Scan within your thoughts and permit the tension inside your thoughts to simply drop to the ground.
To feel the power, close your eyes and place your consciousness and focus in your heart center. Your heart center is found right in the center of one’s breastbone. This spot inside your body is what the yogi’s call your heart chakra. It is right in the center of one’s breast bone and I discover it’s about the dimension of a golfing ball. Merely place your focus and consciousness in your heart center. To deepen the link I sometimes discover placing my finger tips on my heart center and placing a little of pressure on it will help. The reason being you can feel this location, at least in the tactile sense by placing a slight pressure onto your heart center.
